The freshman class of 2008-09 will be the last class to participate in the University of Maryland College Park Scholars ELT program. Read the article? A part of the ELT family? Please share your thoughts and memories of ELT. All are welcome... even those from the loser row.
Michael,
ReplyDeleteI really want to commend you for setting this blog and the "Earth, Life, and Time's up" website up. I hope you don't mind me linking to them both on my ELT website.
The number of favorite colloquium projects, field trips, travel experiences, and memories I have with Dr. Merck, Dr. Holtz, and all the friends I've made along the way in ELT are too numerous to recount, as are the things I learned on my journey through the program from two of the most dedicated and inspirational faculty members/directors I've ever experienced in my many years on Maryland's campus.
It is indeed with great sadness that we say goodbye to ELT this semester, but I'm sure you know as well as I do that it will certainly live on in the hearts and minds of many.
Thanks again, Michael, and ELT.
